Coffee May Be Keeping You Awake

If you have serious trouble falling asleep at night and you are still drinking coffee
throughout the day, you are going to have to cut it out of your diet if you want
some rest.

Coffee gets your adrenaline pumping and that is not what you need to
be feeling when in bed trying to fall asleep.

** Caffeine blocks the effects of adenosine, a chemical produced by your brain that makes you sleepy.

In fact, studies have shown that the caffeine in even one cup will “rev your circuits” enough
to reduce both the length and restorative depths of sleep.

It will also wake you during the night to urinate.

Some people can grow a tolerance to caffeine and drink it before bed and fall
asleep with ease, but that isn’t the case for everyone.

If you can’t help it and you feel that you really need your morning coffee to survive the day
then just slowly minimize your caffeine intake until you are able to go to bed.

The Coffee Alternative – Green Tea

You could even try switching over to green tea which also can give you a whole lot of energy
throughout the day and it promotes weight loss, so that is a plus.

You do not have to cut all caffeine out of your life, but if you take a good bit of it
throughout the day, the best thing for you to do would be to cut back a bit.

Enough hours of sleep at night will make you feel more energized throughout the
day, so the coffee won’t even be a need in the first place.

Priorities

That’s is where our priorities, and the ways we spend our time after coming home from work take
place.

Focusing on your health will do wonders for your sleeping experiences and just
your whole life in general.

Even though this article is about getting rest, I would
just like to say that there are many natural ways to stay awake, and feel more
energized throughout the day without caffeine.

Just know coffee isn’t the only way, especially if it’s keeping you from getting the rest you need.
